Quadcentennial Anniversary and Founders Day
Old Wolvernian Association
The formation of the Old Wolvernian Association, or OWA, dates back to the latter part of the 19th Century; but of course the promotion and fostering of the friendships of past pupils of our schools flourished before the formal start of the Association.
When the Association began it represented the past pupils of Wolverley School and Sebright; now the OWA also represents those pupils who attended Heathfield as a prep school, and after 1970 pupils studying at the current site in Wolverley, in some cases in the early 1980s to the age of 18.
Now the OWA welcomes also past pupils from Heathfield Knoll School.
The OWA is an excellent way to keep in contact with old school friends, learn what’s happening at School today and also a great way to meet and make new friends from across the generations, and of course, expand your networking contacts.
The OWA is really looking forward to the delayed (Thanks Covid-19!) Founders Day and 400th Anniversary Celebrations on the 2 July 2021. In 1620 William Sebright’s Last Will & Testament provided for the financial support and founding of a School, in the village of his birth, and it is this bequest that Founders Day and our Special Quadcentennial events will celebrate.
We look forward to seeing as many OWAs as possible on Friday 2nd July and we know many year groups are also arranging reunions centred around the Founders Day celebrations. If you would like to make arrangements with your peers please contact email@example.com
